Following a career in electronics John retrained at the John Makepeace furniture college in Dorset graduating in 1994. Since establishing his workshop he has worked across a whole range of making and designing experiences, from one off commissions, to projects liaising with architects, interior designers and as a part of a large team of specialists furnishing large private houses.

Following site visits John provides cad drawings and 3D visualisations with material samples.

On larger projects he designs and employs other makers coordinating their production to fit into time and budget considerations.
